Literary Elements: TAKS PT 3

Satire - a literary work holding up human vices and follies to ridicule or scorn
Irony - the use of words to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning
Analogy - inference that if 2 or more things agree with one another in some respects they will probably agree in others
Foreshadowing - to represent, indicate, or typify beforehand
