Lesson Learned

One day I was climbing on the roof and jumping off the roof on to the trampoline. My dad didn't like me doing this, but it was so fun I did it anyway. One day while I was just lifting myself onto the roof I saw my dad's car on the road. The trampoline was on the side of the house the garage was on, so I couldn't jump onto it without my dad seeing me. I was so scared of him finding me that I went to the opposite side of the house and jumped onto the ground. I landed on the ground and felt a jolt of pain in my ankle, I had rolled it. But I didn't care, I ran into our house and laid on the couch and pretended to sleep. My dad walked in, saw me, and started laughing. He said he had already saw me on the roof and that I didn't need to hurt myself to try to get away. I'm pretty sure he was going to give me swats but he said that my ankle was punishment enough.
I learned to never jump from the roof to the ground again.

Comma What?

My father had left our house in the midst of a fight between Lindsey and my mother. My mother was trying to get Lindsey to go with her to the Y to swim. Without thinking, Lindsey had blared, "I'd rather die!," at the top of her lungs. My father watched as my mother froze, then burst fleeing to their bedroom to wail behind the door. He quietly tucked his notebook in his jacket pocket, took the car keys off the hook by the back door, and snuck out.

Gossip Got Your Tongue?

1. If everybody in the school triple filtered everything they talked about there wouldn't be so much talking. If everything we were going to say had to be truthful, good, and meaningful we wouldn't have as many fights and bad feelings toward each other.

2. People still gossip about other people maybe because they want to get back at the people that gossip about them. If they know that it feels bad they might want their enemies to feel bad.

Story Spinner

As I regained consciousness, I remember asking, "Who was that man"? I got up and took a look around. It was raining and I couldn't really see anything through the dark. I started to walk forward when lightning flashed and I saw where I was. Then it all came back to me.
It was nearly dark and I was walking home from school when I saw some headlights up ahead. I thought the car would just pass me by but it pulled out in front of me and a man got out. "Are you Keyan?", he said. "Yes, why do you want to know?", I said. That was when he punched me in the side of the head and I lost consciousness.
Once I realized what was happening I started to panic. Then I saw him at the end of the alley. "You remember this place?", he said. "Yes, but who are you?", I said. He started walking toward me and I realized there was nowhere I could run. Then I saw it, a door leading to the vestibule of the building beside me. "Now don't be stubborn and try to run, it will do you no good." After that I bolted for the door, but once I got there it was locked and I turned to see him laughing. "It won't be that easy." he said. "It's not me you should blame it was all Taylor's doing." I said. "I was in prison all these years for the thing you and your friend made me do." he said. Then he pulled out a gun and said, "I've already dealt with Taylor". What he didn't realize was that I had picked up a brick and was hiding it from his view. Once he got close enough I threw it as hard as I could and it knocked him straight in the head. As he fell down I ran out of the alley and made it to the police department where I turned him in. I never saw that man again.

My Heaven

Unlike in Susie's heaven, i think my heaven is going to have all my family members that have died before me and that i will get to live with them forever. I believe that if I am good enough that my heaven will have my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I will always have my family and loved ones near to me when I am there and I will never be sad. I think heaven is going to be a perfect world. It will be like the world today, just without the murders, thefts, shootings, and nobody will die. Everybody there will have a perfect body even if you didn't have one in your earth life. Some people in my heaven will be sad, because of some of their family members that didn't believe in their earth life and aren't able to be with them. But most of the people who have been sealed in their earth life will have eternal happiness.
